Christopher Choong Weng Wai is Deputy Director of Research at the Khazanah Research Institute (KRI) and a Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Fellows for Social and Economic Equity at the London School of Economics (LSE). His research focuses on gender, care, and social reproduction, as well as broader issues of poverty, inequality, and exclusion in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. He holds a PhD in political economy from the University of Warwick and postgraduate degrees from LSE and School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.
