Md. Mahdi Hasan

Md. Mahdi Hasan is a dedicated student currently pursuing his second Master of Arts in Islamic Studies at Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) on a fully funded scholarship. He holds his first master's and bachelor's degrees from the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh, where he ranked first in his department. He is actively involved in academic leadership, including his role as one of the heads of the Research Development Division at UIII's Islamic Studies Student Association (ISSA) and Director of Research and Professional Development of the International Student Association (ISA) at UIII. He is currently working as a research assistant for Dr. Aria Nakissa, a lecturer of the Faculty of Islamic Studies at UIII and a former director of graduate studies in Jewish, Islamic, and Middle Eastern Studies and assistant professor of Islamic Studies and Anthropology at Washington University in St. Louis, and also for Dr. Usaama al-Azami, an assistant professor at the Faculty of Religion and Theology, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and a former associate faculty member of the Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at University of Oxford.
