Asef Jafari is from Daikundi, Central Afghanistan, where he grew up in a farming community highly vulnerable to climate-induced drought and famine. He holds a BSc in Geodesy Engineering from Bamyan University and has worked with Indigenous INGOs on climate resilience during Afghanistan’s recent political transition. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Policy with a specialization in Climate Change at Universitas Islam International Indonesia.
