Dr. Nia Deliana is a lecturer at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII). She holds a Ph.D. from the International Islamic University Malaysia, where her dissertation focused on the historical foreign relations between India and Indonesia. Her research interests span Indonesia’s classical and contemporary diplomacy across the Indian Ocean, South-South multilateralism, and the politics of race, knowledge, and identity. She has published on these themes in various academic forums, including a recent chapter on the Rohingya during the pandemic in CoronAsur: Asian Religions in the Covidian Age (University of Hawai‘i Press, 2023).
